Hey, everyone! 😀 ❤ Ya’ll ready for some reviews! I’ve finished up three shorts today and yesterday, so I thought I’d just share my few little thoughts on them. 😀
FIRST! Little Ann Marie by S.K. Walker
a little child has vanished while the town holds a vigil for her every year in a vain hope that she will come back, but will her mum Dianne’s sanity help or hinder them. but does her dad Sam keep Dianne prisoner who is he really protecting.
but will old demons come back to haunt them
This one is… conflicting for me. I absolutely ❤ LOVED ❤ the story! but the editing needed some serious work. I know my own writings aren’t always perfect. I’m always updating my files on Amazon to fix mistakes. but this… 😦 I don’t think they even ran it through grammarly.
which is really a shame. Because if you can read through all the errors, the story itself is an amazing, solid little thriller short. Little Ann Marie tells the story of a married couple struggling after the disappearance of their young daughter. You can really feel the Mother’s pain and loss and confusion. And as the story goes on, you really question the main character’s sanity. And it’s a wonderful story!
just… the editing, you know? 😦
but still! If you can Get past that, I highly recommend giving it a try! I’m giving it 3 stars, because I loved the story so much! 😀 it’s FREE right now on Amazon. So! here’s the link!
Letters to Paul: From The Journal Of Lacie Henrickson by Keith Hachtel
The story of Lacie Henrickson is one that deals with heartache and loss. When Paul is in an accident Lacie is left to hold it together. The easiest way to do that is to tell Paul how she feels. She just didn’t know it would be so easy or so hard.
This was sad and emotional and beautiful! 😀 It felt very intense and private, like I was really reading someone’s private letters. It was great! I loved Lacie and Paul. ❤ 😀 this packs SUCH a punch for a 40 page short. & I loved it! Highly Recommended!
here’s the link to the Amazon page if you feel up to giving it a go! It’s got a tiny paperback for $3.99. get that! because Tiny paperbacks are the very best!
Outpost by Joe Hart
A remote fishing trip in the Canadian wilderness promises relaxation and fun for four friends. But after catching a fish that should have been released on a secluded lake, the horror truly begins. And something has followed them back to the Outpost.
Sounds fun, huh? 😀 And it was! Only 23 pages, so it’s not long, but it great! And I’m not the only one who thinks so! 😀 it’s got over 100 ratings and reviews on Amazon. and its average is 4.2!
Oh, how I dream of having that many reviews on my writings! 😀
Anyway! this was really good too! 4 stars! my favorite part of the story was the writing style which was absolutely beautiful! 😀 the story opens right onto the fishing trip, and the way the water and everything is detailed is just great. the opening is totally my favorite part. 😀 read this one if you love short horror stories. I know I do, lol. 😀 It’s a Kindle Freebie over on Amazon, so make sure you try it out.
😀 Like with the others, here’s the link! (I love how the links on my blog changes to the book cover!)
Thanks for reading, everyone! hope you liked my thoughts on these stories. 😀 I’ll be back tomorrow with another book review! 😀 probably the audiobooks. 😀 I’m on book 3 now, and really motivated to finish them! They’re amazing!
Happy Reading! Love Lennie! ❤
