Check it out! I’m here two days in a row! 🙂 Proud of me. 🙂 Anyway! I hope you all are having great reading adventures! I know I am! I just read the most amazing book. I read through half of it last night and finished it earlier this morning. It was so good. I feel a bit like Belle from Beauty and the Beast. I wanna go around telling everyone, “I just read the most wonderful story!” Anyone know what scene I’m talking about? No? Lol. Okay, moving on then!
So, what did I read you ask? I finished an awesome little book called…
99 Stories of Blood on the Wall: A collection of 99 word horror stories
Here’s the cover! Which I love ❤
And the blurb:
A collection of 99 flash fiction horror stories, each of which are exactly 99 words in length. From a taunted clown who snaps at a birthday party to an experimental drug that causes its users to commit murder, 99 Stories of Blood on the Wall is not for faint of heart. Readers with little time on their hands will appreciate the instant gratification that comes with consuming nonstop shots of pure horror.
My rating for this book is…
5 stars! 🙂
I really freaking loved this. 🙂 I shared my review over on Amazon and goodreads right after I finished it. 🙂 And now I’ll share it here.
Here you go!
Omg! I Loved this thing! ❤
I mean, I knew I probably would. Since I love short stories, flash fiction, drabbles, and all that jazz. And Horror. I love me some horror stories. I mean, you’d just have to look at the books I’ve written to see that. 🙂 I LOVE reading and writing horror. Can’t say it enough.
I LOVE flash fiction horror! There’s just something so creative about telling a whole creepy story in such a short word count. Especially when the story is only 99 or 100 words. Skills, my friends. That takes skills. 🙂
And this book… I freaking adored this. I read about half of it last night, which wasn’t the best idea. I was in bed, reading on my kindle app. In the dark. I was very cozy and my dog and my cat were both in bed with me, so I didn’t want to move and bother them. But then I had to go to the bathroom, but I had started thinking that I was hearing weird noises out in the rest of the apartment or outside my window…
Yep. I read spooky stories in the dark and gave myself the creeps so bad that I couldn’t get up to go to the bathroom. Is that embarrassing? That a horror writer got scared by a book? Or is it impressive that Kevin Cathy did such a good job that he scared a fellow horror writer?
I’m gonna go with that one. Maybe it’ll help me save a bit of face. Lol. But seriously, it was so much fun. I enjoyed all the stories and I LOVED tons of them. 🙂 I really liked the clown one. And there was one about a fire I really loved. Ya’ll should totally try this if you like flash fiction as much as I do. 🙂
Thanks for reading! If you enjoyed my review and want to check out the book for yourself, follow the link over to Amazon! ❤ It’s free and such a fast little read. I highly recommend! Happy Reading! I’ll try and be back tomorrow. Love Lennie!
