Holiday Horrors Volume #1 is here!

Hello, my dear, wonderful readers! I hope everyone is doing good! πŸ™‚ I’ve had a very productive day so far. πŸ™‚ I got a bunch of writing done, I did some chores, I’ve read two short stories in Sideshow, I did some writing. I even went for a walk with my dog and ate three healthy meals. πŸ™‚ I’m working on becoming healthier. I’m feeling very productive today!

And, today is sunday! So I get to play dungeons and dragons! Woo-hoo! πŸ™‚ Just about an hour before it’s play time. Until then, I’m going to get some more work done, including this blog post.

Because… Holiday Horrors #1 is here! That’s right! It’s here, and I’m very excited. It has the first three stories in my Holiday Horrors series and is available in paperback and ebook. πŸ™‚ ❀ Because I love paperbacks.

I’m quite proud of my little holiday stories, and I’m looking forward to publishing my new story. It’ll be a mother’s day story. πŸ™‚

I’m already hard at work on it, and it should be out next weekend. πŸ™‚ I want have it out well before Mother’s Day, so I can promote it. Which is basically sharing about it here and on Facebook, since my budget is really limited. But still!

Cover time! And of course, it’s a link over to Amazon if you’d like to buy a copy. Please do! I have a kitty and a dog to feed.

Do you like the cover? πŸ™‚ I do. I thought the skulls were just perfect for the bind ups of the Holiday stories, since each little volume will have 3 stories. πŸ™‚

Three Holidays. Three Horror Stories. Three Times the Scares!
This volume contains:
Book #1: The Terrible Thanksgiving
An invitation to Thanksgiving dinner. It’s just a nice gesture from a co-worker. What’s the worst that can happen?

Book #2: The Vengeful Valentine
He said she was too needy, too clingy and controlling. He said she was crazy. Then he left her. On Valentine’s Day! He broke her heart, and he needs to be punished for it. She might not be crazy, but she’s willing to do some pretty horrible things to get her revenge.

Book #3: The Raging Rabbit
There’s a stranger in a rabbit mask outside Krissy’s house. What does she want? And why does she have a knife?

I hope everyone likes the book! ❀ And I’ll try and be back really soon with a new post. Which, will probably be a review of Sideshow. πŸ™‚ I’m enjoying many of the stories in it.

Happy Reading, Everyone! Love, Lennie! ❀

New Stories!

Hello, blog followers! Do I still have any? I haven’t posted since March 30th. Oops. I’ve been a bit more focused on the world falling apart thanks to the carona virus than remembering to update this thing. :/

I do have some good news though. Since I have to stay home except for going to work and getting food, I have managed to write more this month. In fact, I’m here today to share a bit about my two newest stories:

75 Dark and Dreadful Drabbles and The Raging Rabbit (Holiday Horrors #3). And I’m pretty proud of them both, if I can toot my own horn for a second. πŸ™‚

Especially 75 Dark and Dreadful Drabbles. It’s a collection of, lol you guessed it, 75 stories. Although, these stories are specifically called “drabbles.” That means each story is only 100 words exactly. Not counting the title. πŸ™‚

They were so much fun to write! And not easy. It’s a really good way to stretch out those creativity muscles. And I’m really happy with the results. πŸ˜€

And the cover I made isn’t too bad either. πŸ™‚

75 bite-sized horror stories! All are exactly 100 words long, not including the titles. And all are thoroughly scary! From ghosts and killers, monsters and demons, vampires and dangerous creatures, all kinds of stories reside in these pages!

Some of the stories in this book include:
The Snakes of Justice
A Hell of Spiders
Mindy and the Monster
The Chainsaw Man
The Demon Wife
The Doll’s Shadow

I’m also pretty proud of this one too. The Raging Rabbit. πŸ™‚ I thought it was really creative. I saw the cover image on Adobe stock, and I just knew there was a story there, and it needed to be told.

Blurb! (It’s short, lol.)

There’s a stranger in a rabbit mask outside Krissy’s house. What does she want? And why does she have a knife?

Please, follow the links and check the stories out! ❀ both are in Kindle Unlimited, you you can read them for free if you have an account. πŸ™‚ Or you can buy them for $0.99 each. πŸ™‚

Thanks for taking the time to read my little update. πŸ˜€ I hope everyone is staying home as much as possible and staying safe! Happy Reading!

Love, Lennie! ❀

Wednesday writing update!

Hey, readers and followers! πŸ˜€ I had a busy day today. I did some reading, got a few sales and page reads on Amazon, did some writing, did some outlining, made a cover, and submitted a new book to Amazon. πŸ˜€ It’s currently publishing. πŸ˜€ Should be ready to read/buy by tomorrow. πŸ˜€ I’m feeling very productive today!

So, remember how I was talking about some more flash fiction stories? That’s what I worked onto day. πŸ˜€ I have a big collect of hand-written I’ve been working. So I spent the day typing some of them out on the computer, fixing them up where they needed fleshing out, and trying to get out all the typos. I don’t get all of them out of every single thing I write and publish but I do my best. πŸ˜€

I’m feeling really good today. πŸ˜€ 3,000 words worth of flash fiction typed out, edited, and submitted to Amazon. With a pretty nifty cover that I made all by myself! I think I’m getting better at covers! And all the outlines set up for the rest of the flashes of fear ready to go. πŸ˜€ All I’ll need to do is get them typed up, and it shouldn’t take too long. πŸ˜€

Flashes of Fear is set to release a new volume every week up until Halloween. Where I will release the Complete Collection edition. In both ebook and paperback. πŸ˜€ With some Exclusive content. ;D hoping people will buy it/ KU for the exclusive stuff. remember, I have a kitten to support.

Anyway, I’m really excited for the flash fiction collections. I know I’ve said it before, but I totally ADORE writing flash fiction. there’s something so weirdly powerful about something that can creepy you out in less than a thousand words. I was actually working on one of my stories called “The Corpse in the Mirrors” at work today. (I’m allowed to write and read and play candy crush at one of my jobs so long as no customers are in the store) And I got so into my own imagined little world that I gave myself goosebumps! literally! the phone Rang and I jumped.

I’m a horror writer and I gave myself the creeps. I’ll say that’s pretty good! πŸ˜€

Plus I can work on other stories, since I’ll already have over a months worth of stuff ready to go. πŸ˜€ She Watches You Sleep is coming! I swear!

but I have lots of other stuff planned too. πŸ˜€ Like more Spooky Shorts, Spirit Finders, and finishing the haunted bridge trilogy! πŸ˜€ plus, my other pen name, Tori Elliot, has lots of stuff that needs finished too. ;D

Hope you all are excited for new releases as I am! I’ll be back tomorrow with another book review! something scary, I promise! Happy Reading! Love Lennie! ❀

Review of Be Careful What You Wish For

Hey, everyone! I’m back with a brand new book review for you! No free books right now, so I’m doing a review instead. πŸ˜€

4 stars for this one!

here’s the cover!

27269951. sy475

And the blurb:

When David Patzpowski takes his breakfast at a motorway diner, he discovers the clientele to be a little on the strange side.

The story was free on Amazon. And it was only 11 pages. I automatically had to download it and give it a try.

For a gal who’s trying to juggle two jobs, writing & editing, a blog, and work on a debut story under a new pen name, I REALLY love me some tiny short stories.

I can finish a whole story while drinking my morning coffee and feel very accomplished by adding it to my goodreads reading challenge. πŸ˜€

plus, as a writer of lots of my own shorts, I’m particularly fond of scary short stories.

It was totally worth the free download! πŸ˜€ Short and Simple, but it packed a punch. It was entertaining with just a tad of creep factor, especially towards the end there. Our main character had a strong personality, and the writer managed to get a surprising amount of characterization and backstory into a very short tale.

highly impressed! πŸ˜€ ❀

I also highly recommend this story if you like short horror tales. I grabbed another one of the author’s stories while I was at it, so I’ll be reading that one really soon. πŸ˜€ Can’t wait!

❀ ❀ ❀

And for those of you who were paying close attention: yes! I am working on new stories for a new pen name. Lol. They’re going to be a rather big step away from my dark and spooky works under Lennie Grace. So I’ve decided to publish them under a new pen name. To help keep my own works more organized, and because I’ve read a few articles on how it’s a good idea. People simply scrowling through Amazon will be more likely to pick up books/stories from indie authors who focus on one or two genres verses one who jumps all over the place.

which makes sense you know? How interested who you be in reading, say, a cozy mystery by someone who usually publishes science fiction. You’d probably be a bit confused by the sudden change huh?

Lol. not that I’m doing cozy mysteries or science fiction. those were just examples. πŸ˜€ Don’t worry, guys! It won’t be a huge secert or anything. I’m sure I’ll post about it on here when I get my debut story back from editing.

And I’ll defiently be sharing links in my Facebook groups. (Gotta advertise somehow, right? dang, I wish I had more of a budget for promotion!) The different pen names are simply away to help me keep my works more organized. Also, I really like the name I picked out. It sounded pretty!

but I’m not telling you about my OTHER Pen name I have planned. That one WILL be a top secret. lol. Some of the stuff I have planned for the 3rd pen name are honestly a little embarrassing.

it’ll be fun trying to keep accounts seperate for all three. :/

Thanks for reading, everyone! I’ll be back tomorrow with an Author Spotlight! Happy Reading! Love, Lennie! ❀

Saturday Spotlight!

Hello, blog followers! How ya’ll doing? You ready for another indie author spotlight? I am! πŸ˜€ I have a horror writer for you today. YAY! Fits the blog, huh? ;D Today’s author does a lot of zombie horror, which I’m very fond of. πŸ˜€ One of my favorite audiobooks is a zombie story. πŸ˜€ I’ve listened to it twice now, and I could totally listen again.

Anyway! Let’s get to the author! πŸ˜€

Angel Ramon!

who wants to see an author bio!? πŸ˜€

Angel Ramon is an author of Survival Horror GameLit and enjoys scaring the hell out of his readers while providing a roller coaster ride. He likes to plunge his readers into reads that make them feel like they’re in a video game! Zombies are only the beginning for this Amazon Bestseller for Horror Short stories. When he is not scaring himself to sleep, he likes to play video games and keeps wishing he could turn back time to his childhood where pop culture was a whole heck of a lot better. Nobody knows who this Angel Ramon is, but he is sure to scare you to the point where you’re better off never meeting him in real life.

He’s starting a new series involving dinosaurs, dungeons, swordplay and one heck of a story that will bring humans and dinosaurs to live in perfect harmony. I guess he never revealed that he loves dinosaurs as well. His favorite dinosaur is the pterodactyl as he always dreamed of flying on a dinosaur while wearing chain mail besides hunting zombies.

Did he mention that he loves zombies and bacon? If not, there you go. He just loves the crispy bacon in his mouth.

Amazon bestseller for horror shorts? XD I am so jelly! In a good way! that’s amazing isn’t it! You go Angel! πŸ˜€ Also, gotta love a guy that loves dinosaurs. πŸ˜€ dinos are awesome!

And now for my favorite part of an author spotlight…. cover pictures! πŸ˜€ I love pretty covers! (I can’t wait until the stores start putting out halloween stuff so I can get stuff to help me with the pics I take for cover art.)

the first book in his zombie series!

The Fifth Survivor: Episode 1 by [Ramon, Angel]

Isn’t that awesome?! πŸ˜€

And! the cover of that dino book! πŸ˜€

Prehistoric Crisis (Book 1 - A GameLit Dinosaur Horror/Fantasy Saga) by [Ramon, Angel]

Totally badass! πŸ˜€

Here’s his amazon page link if you’d like to follow him and check out the books in more depth!

Happy Reading! I’ll be back tomorrow with more indie spotlight stuff! Love Lennie! πŸ˜€ ❀
