Holiday Horrors Volume #1 is here!

Hello, my dear, wonderful readers! I hope everyone is doing good! πŸ™‚ I’ve had a very productive day so far. πŸ™‚ I got a bunch of writing done, I did some chores, I’ve read two short stories in Sideshow, I did some writing. I even went for a walk with my dog and ate three healthy meals. πŸ™‚ I’m working on becoming healthier. I’m feeling very productive today!

And, today is sunday! So I get to play dungeons and dragons! Woo-hoo! πŸ™‚ Just about an hour before it’s play time. Until then, I’m going to get some more work done, including this blog post.

Because… Holiday Horrors #1 is here! That’s right! It’s here, and I’m very excited. It has the first three stories in my Holiday Horrors series and is available in paperback and ebook. πŸ™‚ ❀ Because I love paperbacks.

I’m quite proud of my little holiday stories, and I’m looking forward to publishing my new story. It’ll be a mother’s day story. πŸ™‚

I’m already hard at work on it, and it should be out next weekend. πŸ™‚ I want have it out well before Mother’s Day, so I can promote it. Which is basically sharing about it here and on Facebook, since my budget is really limited. But still!

Cover time! And of course, it’s a link over to Amazon if you’d like to buy a copy. Please do! I have a kitty and a dog to feed.

Do you like the cover? πŸ™‚ I do. I thought the skulls were just perfect for the bind ups of the Holiday stories, since each little volume will have 3 stories. πŸ™‚

Blurb:

Three Holidays. Three Horror Stories. Three Times the Scares!
This volume contains:
Book #1: The Terrible Thanksgiving
An invitation to Thanksgiving dinner. It’s just a nice gesture from a co-worker. What’s the worst that can happen?

Book #2: The Vengeful Valentine
He said she was too needy, too clingy and controlling. He said she was crazy. Then he left her. On Valentine’s Day! He broke her heart, and he needs to be punished for it. She might not be crazy, but she’s willing to do some pretty horrible things to get her revenge.

Book #3: The Raging Rabbit
There’s a stranger in a rabbit mask outside Krissy’s house. What does she want? And why does she have a knife?

I hope everyone likes the book! ❀ And I’ll try and be back really soon with a new post. Which, will probably be a review of Sideshow. πŸ™‚ I’m enjoying many of the stories in it.

Happy Reading, Everyone! Love, Lennie! ❀

New Stories!

Hello, blog followers! Do I still have any? I haven’t posted since March 30th. Oops. I’ve been a bit more focused on the world falling apart thanks to the carona virus than remembering to update this thing. :/

I do have some good news though. Since I have to stay home except for going to work and getting food, I have managed to write more this month. In fact, I’m here today to share a bit about my two newest stories:

75 Dark and Dreadful Drabbles and The Raging Rabbit (Holiday Horrors #3). And I’m pretty proud of them both, if I can toot my own horn for a second. πŸ™‚

Especially 75 Dark and Dreadful Drabbles. It’s a collection of, lol you guessed it, 75 stories. Although, these stories are specifically called “drabbles.” That means each story is only 100 words exactly. Not counting the title. πŸ™‚

They were so much fun to write! And not easy. It’s a really good way to stretch out those creativity muscles. And I’m really happy with the results. πŸ˜€

And the cover I made isn’t too bad either. πŸ™‚

Blurb:

75 bite-sized horror stories! All are exactly 100 words long, not including the titles. And all are thoroughly scary! From ghosts and killers, monsters and demons, vampires and dangerous creatures, all kinds of stories reside in these pages!

Some of the stories in this book include:
The Snakes of Justice
A Hell of Spiders
Mindy and the Monster
The Chainsaw Man
The Demon Wife
The Doll’s Shadow

I’m also pretty proud of this one too. The Raging Rabbit. πŸ™‚ I thought it was really creative. I saw the cover image on Adobe stock, and I just knew there was a story there, and it needed to be told.

Blurb! (It’s short, lol.)

There’s a stranger in a rabbit mask outside Krissy’s house. What does she want? And why does she have a knife?

Please, follow the links and check the stories out! ❀ both are in Kindle Unlimited, you you can read them for free if you have an account. πŸ™‚ Or you can buy them for $0.99 each. πŸ™‚

Thanks for taking the time to read my little update. πŸ˜€ I hope everyone is staying home as much as possible and staying safe! Happy Reading!

Love, Lennie! ❀

Halloween Horrors

Hey, everyone! I’m back!

I swear, I’m alive and kicking! Haven’t posted for a few days, I know. My dog got sick, and I had some family stuff to do, so I’ve been busy. but there’s just few more days until Halloween, and I’ve got to share some scary books. πŸ˜€ ❀

For today’s post, I’ll be sharing a very author spotlight for a friend. And a special review. πŸ˜€ My Facebook friend Samuel Gali asked me to read and review his Halloween book, and I have delivered. πŸ˜€ Along with sharing a bit about his other book and his author bio.

He’s a brand new author from all the way over in Nigeria. πŸ˜€ Super far from me, sitting over here in Oklahoma. Isn’t the internet cool? I can have friends all the way across the world with out leaving my house.

πŸ˜€ He’s got two books out so far! πŸ˜€ Congrats, my friend! ❀

here’s his author bio from Amazon:

Samuel Gali is a Nigerian horror writer and reader, new to the world of publishing. He has been writing short stories since he was in high school, and he still does. Writing stories seem to come naturally to him, and he published his first book, Kill Once, Die Twice, recently on Amazon. He is presently working on a Halloween story to celebrate.
(I don’t think he has anything else to say)

And here’s a picture of his first book’s cover for everyone to admire:

Check it out if ya’ll like zombies! πŸ˜€

And! The cover for the subject of today’s review:

Now! Time for my reivews of Halloween Horrors!

3 stars! πŸ˜€

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review. πŸ˜€ 3 starts!
It’s almost Halloween! And we all know what that means! Scary Story Overload Time! πŸ˜€ A little rocky, but I liked this! πŸ˜€ It was fun. For a new writer, this was pretty good! A bit of practice, and I think the writer can go places!

This book tells 4 little stories. They’re all very creative, connected, and all are about the Halloween Horrors. Spooky monster/demons who are coming to get you on Halloween! >:D And let’s all just take a moment to admire that description of the book! πŸ˜€ That’s really good!

It’s a very fun idea, and as a horror lover and a writer of several of my own short stories, it’s something I can totally get behind. I LOVE short stories! πŸ˜€

My favorites were the first two stories, about Big George and his neighbor across the street. (the first story gets extra points for mentioning Harry Potter. πŸ˜€ lol. Harry Potter is one of my favorite series ever!) πŸ˜€ I thought those two were the creepiest, but each little story has its own charm. Recommended reading for people looking for a quick little Halloween treat.

Be sure and check his books out! Gotta support new authors. πŸ˜€ ❀ Happy Reading, Everyone! I’ll try and be back tomorrow with another review of something spooky, but no promises!

Love Lennie! ❀

NEW Books are LIVE!!!

Hey, readers! It’s here! It’s finally here! I’ve been promising and promising and promising and it’s finally here!!!

She Watches You Sleep is LIVE!!!!

Any thoughts on the cover? I made it myself! πŸ˜€ I even had Drew the woman on the front. lol. I know. It looks like a kid Drew it, but that’s actually what I was aiming for! Read the book if you’d like to know more! πŸ˜€

this project has been a nightmare, trying to finish and edit it and getting the cover right. ugh! took me forever! As you all know. πŸ˜‰ and at this point, I’m not sure how good it is. I feel like I did pretty good and told an interesting story. but readers might say something different. You never know!

But I’m glad I finally finished! I can stop fretting! I can sit back and just look at my Amazon Page and see my new story up and ready for the world to try! ❀ It’s $3.99 and FREE on KU, so please, everyone! Go give it a try!

And! And! Let’s not forget!

Flashes of Fear #2 is LIVE!

It’s here! And I already got some page reads on it and a good rating over on Goodreads.com! I love waking up to New ratings and reviews! πŸ˜€

Here’s the link to it! I haven’t gotten the font fixed to match book one yet, but I’m going to do that right after I finish this post! Shout out to Alan for helping me fix up my font! Looks much better now! πŸ˜€

Anyway! I’m feeling all productive this weekend. Nothing like some ratings and new books dropping to boost a gal’s confidence! I’ll be hard at work getting the rest of my Flashes of Fear ready for submitting. πŸ˜€ I’ve got all the drafts and covers ready to go! I just have to edit and format it. (If there are any writers out there reading this, Reedsy is an absolute life safer for formatting!)

My next project will be more Spooky Shorts! and maybe a couple of novellas. πŸ˜€ Halloween/October time is fast approaching and I am very much looking forward to it! ❀ ❀ ❀ Halloween and Horror stories go hand in hand! ❀

I’ve got plans to by myself MASSIVE amounts of junk food and candy and just have myself a little party with myself and my cat. πŸ˜€ lol. I don’t have a lot of friends outside of work, so I don’t really have any bigger plans than that. But hey, nothing wrong with having fun by myself, right? πŸ˜‰

Also, October is “prep-ober” to get ready for National Novel Writing Month in november. So, I’ll be doing LOTS of prep for that. I might not do one whole novel over the month, since I already write and publish pretty fast. but I WILL see just how much I can get done in November. πŸ˜€ Maybe I’ll write 3 novels. lol. could you imagine? 150,000 words in a month! Wednesday writing update!

Hey, readers and followers! πŸ˜€ I had a busy day today. I did some reading, got a few sales and page reads on Amazon, did some writing, did some outlining, made a cover, and submitted a new book to Amazon. πŸ˜€ It’s currently publishing. πŸ˜€ Should be ready to read/buy by tomorrow. πŸ˜€ I’m feeling very productive today!

So, remember how I was talking about some more flash fiction stories? That’s what I worked onto day. πŸ˜€ I have a big collect of hand-written I’ve been working. So I spent the day typing some of them out on the computer, fixing them up where they needed fleshing out, and trying to get out all the typos. I don’t get all of them out of every single thing I write and publish but I do my best. πŸ˜€

I’m feeling really good today. πŸ˜€ 3,000 words worth of flash fiction typed out, edited, and submitted to Amazon. With a pretty nifty cover that I made all by myself! I think I’m getting better at covers! And all the outlines set up for the rest of the flashes of fear ready to go. πŸ˜€ All I’ll need to do is get them typed up, and it shouldn’t take too long. πŸ˜€

Flashes of Fear is set to release a new volume every week up until Halloween. Where I will release the Complete Collection edition. In both ebook and paperback. πŸ˜€ With some Exclusive content. ;D hoping people will buy it/ KU for the exclusive stuff. remember, I have a kitten to support.

Anyway, I’m really excited for the flash fiction collections. I know I’ve said it before, but I totally ADORE writing flash fiction. there’s something so weirdly powerful about something that can creepy you out in less than a thousand words. I was actually working on one of my stories called “The Corpse in the Mirrors” at work today. (I’m allowed to write and read and play candy crush at one of my jobs so long as no customers are in the store) And I got so into my own imagined little world that I gave myself goosebumps! literally! the phone Rang and I jumped.

I’m a horror writer and I gave myself the creeps. I’ll say that’s pretty good! πŸ˜€

Plus I can work on other stories, since I’ll already have over a months worth of stuff ready to go. πŸ˜€ She Watches You Sleep is coming! I swear!

but I have lots of other stuff planned too. πŸ˜€ Like more Spooky Shorts, Spirit Finders, and finishing the haunted bridge trilogy! πŸ˜€ plus, my other pen name, Tori Elliot, has lots of stuff that needs finished too. ;D

Hope you all are excited for new releases as I am! I’ll be back tomorrow with another book review! something scary, I promise! Happy Reading! Love Lennie! ❀
